Sunday was one of the best days i could ever wish for. After my religious class, my parents decided to bring me to Marina Barrage. It was opened in November 2008 which means it is still quite new.At first, i was very reluctant to go out as usually,i would prefer to take a rest after my religious class but when my parents told me that they were going to Marina Barrage, i was curious and decided to follow. When we reached there, i was awed by its architecture.Though it was only a reservoir, the place is very beautiful. When i saw my cousins there, i was surprised. My parents told me that the whole family had planned a picnic there. We set up the mats and and arranged the food on the mat.As my uncle was an air steward and had just returned from Frankfurt, he brought back food such as 'chiabatta' bread, 'feta cheese' and the vegetable 'Rocket head'!After eating the scrumptious food, my younger cousins went to the water playpark and the older ones like me went to fly kites. My cousin had brought a canvas kite with a string that was actually a fishing line. Therefore the kite went as high as approximately a hundred and fifty metres! Will you believe that?Shortly two boys of my age started kicking a ball around. They invited me and my cousin to play with them and we accepted their invitation kindly. We had a lot of fun as we continued to own them in the match!
So after a long day there, i was not at all sad to leave the place as i was considerably tired. It was a great day out for me and i was really grateful to my parents for bringing me there.
Marina Barrage:
Hi guys!Check this cool video out.
To me, football is one of the best things that god gave us in life. It is a universal language. Let’s say you are a typical Singaporean and you go to
Football is also a way for us to socialize and bond together. Last week when my whole family; including my cousins when to the Marina Barrage, we saw two boys of my age kicking a nike ball around. They saw us and invited me and my cousin to play with them. Half an hour later, we were having a great time and became friends. Also, during the start of last year, my class started bonding together by playing football during recess. When we were playing, we started to get to know each other better as we learned our fellow classmates’ playing style. It was also a good way to bond together as football requires teamwork. For this few reasons alone, i think football is an important aspect in each and everyone of us
Hi all!
Its now the third week of school. I'm finally used to being a Sec 2 student. This year will not be the same as the last, that's for sure. We have to study hard to get our desired subjects and go to a better class. This means no slacking, and this will be the last year i will be spending with my current beloved classmates:( .I still remember when I was in primary 6, i was sad to leave behind the friends that i had known for the past 6 years. That is not to mention my former teachers as well. Back then, i thought that my primary school friends were the best i would ever have and i was afraid that i may not be able to find good friends in secondary school. Sure enough, on the first day of school, i was put into the top class in my level and i felt daunted as many of my fellow classmates came from rich families and most of them were as smart or maybe even smarter than me. I was shy at first, until i decided to open up during the camp.I came back from the camp feeling as if i had already knew my new friends for a long time.My mindset changed i felt like a true Victorian indeed. I know how it feels like to be in a new school with a new environment and that is why i sometimes try to help the new students by giving them directions and telling them not to do certain things or they moght get into trouble with Mr Chia. I will also have to behave in a good manner in front of the Sec 1s so that they will follow by example and uphold our school's name and our vision that a Victorian is ultimately a Gentleman, a Professional and a Sportsman.
Enough of that. Now back to my studies. All the projects are starting to show up.Maths,D&T,OPW and soon ,english. It is going to be tough but I look forward to passing my projects with flying colours!
Usually, to distress myself from the everlasting amount of homework and projects, i will play soccer under the block with my neighbour or just watch television. However, to me the best tool for “distressing” is definitely my computer.I have recently completed the game :Call Of Duty World at war.The game is the fifth instalment in the series. At around $69 for the PC version of the game, i feel it is reasonable and worth every cent of my money.Superb graphics, realism and gameplay make this one of the best shooting games i have encountered. The timeline for this game is set during the final years of world war 2.The player assumes the role of Private Miller of the United States Marine Corps' 1st Division and Private Dimitri Petrenko of the Soviet Red Army.As Private Miller, you follow your squad through the pacific campaign. For Private Petrenko, you follow your squad as you take over Berlin. The gameplay is superb as there are several ways to complte a certain mission. This means that you will not get bored as you will be able to explore new ways to complete your objective. The game is , however very violent. For exmple, if you shoot a soldier by using machine gun, chances are, he will lose one of his body parts depending on where you aim.I was quite shocked at first but i decide to ignore this issue so that i could enjoy the game.In conclusion, i would recommend this game to other computer enthusiasts like me or those who enjoy shooting games.
However i am recommending this game not to promote it like a salesman but to "share the love.".

Today must be one of the toughest day i have had so far.....I have a lot of homework to be done and i am dead tired because floorball training ended at 6.30 p.m.today.By the time i arrived home, it was already 7.I feel like slacking and taking a rest but when i finished my Literature homework, i found out that i had to write the essay out.I had spent the last hour typing it and now i have to write it out again! And now i am busy typing this entry.Sigh! At least there was some drama at school during recess today!Tyler was overcome by his curiosity and sprayed himself with the fire extinguisher!Mr tan was so depressed(i think) that he asked the monitors and the class to sort everything out while he went to the toilet to take a break. Why is everyone obsessed with fire extinguishers?First Jonathan and now Tyler?God forbid i will be the next one.Anyway today i scored a nice goal during floorball training although i felt tired running 7 heaven. For the benefit of those who do not know what 7 heaven is, it is an EXTREMELY tiring exercise in which you have to run up the the staircase next to the library until the 7th floor, run to the other staircase and run down.Repeat this process 11 times. This does not include the various other exercises such as push-ups, crunches and chin ups.Tough right?Hers th "best" part.I have to do it twice a week which means i have training from Monday to Friday.Hehe, so tomorrow Zhafir's got to do double of what i did for missing physical training.Oh Oh.My "mama" is starting to get concerned over me spending such a long time staring into the computer so I've got to go now!:D
